Same day Apple launched iPhone 6, 6plus and Apple watch,it also announced the discontinuation of its most sold out iPod Classic released back in 2001 which helped Apple to reach this popularity.
As Apple launches 128GB Version of iPhone 6 and iPod Touch 128GB will take the lead at the place of iPod Classic.
Without making any previous announcement Apple remove it from it's new Online Store. As written on 9to5mac apple hadn't updated iPod since 2008. The last version contains 160GB of memory and had power to store 40k songs in you hands and the designs are from 2004. So basically it's time to pull the plugs off from it. Actually the discontinuing of classic begin 4 years ago, early in 2010. Since then till now it discontinued in late 2014.
