Apple, today just launched a major upgrades of iPad and iPhone the iOS 8. There are also some hidden but cool features which were not disclosed that time. The updates are started distributing after 1PM ET. Below previous iOS upgrades iOS 8 requires much more space seems to be 5.7GB according to The Verge, it varies device to device.
So, if you're planning to install iOS 8 on a 5C 8GB or iPhone 16GB Models then you would ran into Problems. Here are some tips to clean your iPhone for some space -

iOS 8 also provides you chance to customize your Sharing Preferences so you can put right notification in-front of you. It provides you the option to swap among them.

By upgrading to iOS 8 we would suggest you to update your Medical ID. The sounding health feature from Apple which would help you to store Allergies and Blood Group some other medical conditions and can be accessed from Emergency Dialer Menu.
