International Women's Day
01:20 AM
Aren't you ashamed to be an Indian ?
No, you're not. Sitting behind a LED Screen seeing the post of brutal incidents against women and choosing over the way either to ignore them or judge them. No it's not done.
We are living in a country where the girl child's life is terminated even when she is a mere fetus inside her mother's womb, and if she somehow managed to escape she will be forsaken somewhere else. And that's beyond truth, let's talk about if she lives, at every single moment she is treated differently. She is not allowed to decide how to spent her life and had to take permission from man. In brief, she has no personality of her own.
She is fed less than her brother, has to do majority of house hold works and also provided with less or no education at all.
What we told her is, her life belongs to others, her father, husband or son,and yet it's not getting count for those brutal incidents of rape, acid attacks, sexual harassment or honor killing which creeps upon every women in India.
And on all of these, what we have to say is extremely shocking. Pointing to our culture, and place of women. Pointing at her character by judging her ( ML Sharma on Nirbhaya Case ).
Survey after survey reveals that India is one of the worst place for women be it because of sexual violence and various other gender inequalities. And this is the worst thing ahead of every condition of women in India we are responsible for. Sexual violence, eve teasing, knife/acid attacks - there is no end of these crimes.
Now the politics and the dumb politicians, as they are making comments as #ItsHerFault is not making any sense. A lot of them thinks like rapists. Their comments gives the impression that women are responsible for their fate - their clothes, what's she wearing or because of her being out late and if she is doing so, she is responsible for troubles. (Again ML Sharma).
Now the media, interviewing rapist, and broadcasting their words (us rapist - Mukesh Singh ke lahje se kisi ko bhi problem nhi ho rhi hai) to the whole world and when it comes Udwin's documentary #IndiasDaughter, sadly it's banned. That's the reality of India, our Media and Politicians.
"Crores of men in India now know what was the rapists opinion about this episode. And if someone has objection to this being telecast, then they should change their mind set!" -- Javed Akhtar _/\_
It's time, we have to stop accept these as a way of life and learn to treat them with respect otherwise we are not a democracy. We take great pride in our so-called Indian Values and morals. Let's move it to 21st century where everyone is treated equally as the Indian Constitution promises – irrespective of their gender, religion, caste, skin colour or creed.
PS : I'm using "WE", because those rapists, criminals, eve teasers and those men who are part of our society that do it. So,if any one is having their own point of view, comment here !
